ABOUT FAMILY
The Burrawang is a family run business. Pete and Kate have grown up working in hospitality and pubs. Kate had an early introduction to the hospitality business. She was brought up and worked in her family’s pub, The Lord Dudley in Paddington, Sydney.
Pete started out working in a pub in Balmain as a cellarman taking the deliveries and later moved on to work for another pub and became the licensee. Pete and Kate have two son’s, Cooper and Jack, and have lived in the Highlands since 2015. During 2015, Pete and Kate bought the lease for the Royal Hotel in Bowral and will continue to run both pubs.
Pete’s dream when he first set foot in the Burrawang Village Hotel 10 years ago was to run the hotel. This dream has now become a reality. Pete and Kate are looking forward to interacting with the community and customers to create a family-friendly vibe throughout the pub.
